Hazard Pay!

Ouch... I somehow managed to drop a CASE of 24 large cans of Dog food on my knee last night at work. Man.... when I saw it falling I was thinking "not the knee, not the knee!" because it was the knee I had surgery on about 4 years ago.

Not only is it bruised and painful, it's also quite swollen.

All this for $8.50/hr!!!!!!! Man, my day job pays more and is far less dangerous.

What a hoot! I feel you and i do understand what is like to work in a general labor capacity and for small pay. When working in hazardous positions please utilize carts, ladders and safety gear whenever possible, there is no need for inquiry especially if there are no medical benefits attached to your employment agreement or contract. Don't feel bad my boss requested that I feel a vending machine with sodas and juice this past Monday and I am Front Desk Staff on my part time job and I was no way prepared for the task of loading hundreds of can soda and bottles and not to mention i had to retreive them from storage first then load the machine and that shit was getting heavy and old very fast! Be cautions!

Correcting my spelling error, in my comments the word inquiry should have been injury, that just goes to show what is on my mind Customer Service inquires; also the word feel should have been fill, but of course I was rushing as always, and to think I share these blogs with my nieces and nephews that are college students. I suppose they forgive me being that I was a product of the public school system and a public university in a party town... oops!
